POLICIES

Sustainability

As a multi-discipline engineering and technical advisory consultancy, GTL recognises the role our profession plays in helping clients build and operate more sustainably. This policy sets out our commitment to sustainable practice, both in our own operations and in the advice we provide.

Our Commitments

GTL is committed to:

  • Considering the long-term environmental, social and economic impact of the engineering solutions we recommend to clients, and offering lower-impact alternatives where practicable.
  • Supporting the transition to more resource-efficient, lower-carbon infrastructure through our renewable energy, marine and foundation engineering work.
  • Managing our own operations, including offices, travel and resource use, to reduce our environmental footprint.
  • Engaging fairly and responsibly with the local communities, workforce and supply chains connected to our projects.
  • Complying with applicable sustainability-related legislation and reporting obligations in every jurisdiction in which we operate.
  • Setting measurable sustainability objectives and monitoring progress against them.
  • Reviewing this policy regularly, and updating it as sustainability practice and client expectations evolve.

Responsibilities and Review

Overall responsibility for this policy rests with the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Technical Director. Project and site managers are responsible for applying it on their projects, and every employee is expected to work in line with it. This policy is reviewed at least annually.
