POLICIES
ENVIRONMENTAL
GTL International LLC and THEIR SUBSIDARIES (together, “GTL”) provide multi-discipline engineering and technical advisory services across geotechnical, structural, civil, marine and energy engineering, on projects in more than fourteen countries. We are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our own operations and to embedding sound environmental practice into the advice we give our clients.
Our Commitments
GTL is committed to:
- Complying with applicable environmental legislation and permit conditions in every jurisdiction in which GTL operates.
- Assessing and managing the environmental impact of our operations, including office resource use, travel and waste.
- Considering environmental risk, including ground and coastal conditions, as a core part of our geotechnical, structural, civil, marine and energy engineering advice.
- Minimising waste, and reusing or recycling materials wherever practicable.
- Using energy, water and materials efficiently across our offices and project sites.
- Working with clients and contractors to identify lower-impact design and construction options where practicable.
- Setting measurable environmental objectives and monitoring performance against them.
- Providing employees with the awareness and training needed to work in line with this policy.
Responsibilities and Review
Overall responsibility for this policy rests with the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Technical Director. Project and site managers are responsible for implementing it on their projects, and every employee is expected to work in line with it. This policy is reviewed at least annually, and sooner following any significant change in legislation or the nature of GTL’s operations.
