GTL care about extending the utility of materials through reuse, repurpose and recycling to minimise waste, pollution, water and the consumption of finite resources, reduce environmental impacts and cut Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions (CO 2e) and acknowledge that they are key elements of a Circular Economy.
As a commitment we have prepared a report to present the environmental impacts and benefits of repurposing products/materials used for the fabrication of our helical piles.
The report compares the benefits of repurposed produces made from prime steel throughout its lifecycle.
GTL’s Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) is undertaken in accordance with ISO 14040, ISO 14044 and A1-A4 as per EN 15804:2012+A2:2019.
BS EN 15978:2011- Sustainability of construction works
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
CEN – EN 15804 – Sustainability of construction works – Environmental product declarations – Core rules for the product category of construction products
Our report shows how GTL can save 2163.95kg CO2 e per tonne of steel pile products, which is 97.21% of the carbon emissions of a prime steel equivalent.
We have made a commitment to be a net zero organisation by 2030
