It is therefore important to understand that GTL will not push a particular pile type as it is essential to systematically consider various foundation types and to select the optimum alternative based on thesuperstructure requirements, the subsurface conditions, and foundation cost.
Foundation types may include shallow foundations consisting of spread footing or mat foundations with or without ground improvement; or deep foundations consisting of driven piles, drilled shafts, or micropiles.
In many occasions the helical is not the correct pile type in which case GTL do not promote its use. However, as a solutions provider we provide viable alternatives.
